Little Wonder at Longleat

Everyone knows Longleat for its English stately home, the first opened to the public, and safari park, the first outside Africa. The seat of the Marquess of Bath, Longleat is notable for its Elizabethan country house, set in 9,000 acres, and the parkland landscaped by Capability Brown. The name comes from ‘leat’, an artificial waterway or channel. Dorset based groundscare and agricultural machinery dealers E.G.Coles & Son have been meeting Longleat’s requirements with a range of machinery for many years. The latest product is the Little Wonder electric hedge trimmers, supplied to Longleat’s Head Gardener Jules Curtis and his deputy Darren Johnson.

While the Little Wonders are commercial duty machines they are lightweight and designed for comfort, featuring double reciprocating blades for faster, fatigue-free hedge cutting and sculpting. “Working in the formal gardens we are cutting yew and box, including topiary peacocks,” says Jules, “a lot of it is intricate work and we have a strong preference for the Little Wonder electric hedge trimmers. We can get a much neater cut with electric, altogether a better job. We have been using Little Wonder for many years and find them light and easy to use and of course they are quiet, which means we can carry on with the work even when there are visitors in the gardens.”

All models are CE approved and come with a twelve month commercial warranty.
