I discovered the three step switch only after I was taking the studio pictures and I dropped the torch on the floor. Then the switch worked correctly. I think there must have been a minor glitch on the internals. I agree also that this little torch is a great piece of kit and I now keep it in my dresser drawer for emergencies. It too has a domed on/off button on the rear, which you can press part of the way down for flashing the torch, or the whole way down to turn the torch on permanently (and press it again to switch it off). Are you sure that the button on your P7 only flashes the torch, or is it a multi-function switch as described above?
